By using this website you agree to these terms. Any construction work referenced on this site is governed by a separate written home improvement contract signed at the project start with the actual contractor of record (see "Who is the contractor" below).

Who is the contractor

Tanbark Build Co. operates in two modes. (1) In-house projects are performed under California Contractors State License #XXXXXXX, held by our Responsible Managing Officer; the contract is between you and the entity holding that license. (2) Referred projects are performed by an independent, California-licensed partner contractor; the contract is between you and that partner contractor. In every case, the actual licensed contractor of record is identified on the contract before you sign, and you can verify any California contractor's license at cslb.ca.gov.

Referral service disclosure

To the extent Tanbark Build Co. routes a project to an independent licensed partner contractor, Tanbark Build Co. is acting as a referral service. Tanbark Build Co. may receive a referral fee from the partner contractor; that fee does not change the price you pay or the contractor's obligations to you under California law. You are free at any time to obtain bids from other contractors and to choose any contractor you wish.

Three-day right of cancellation

California Home Improvement Contract Law (BPC §7159) gives you a 3-day right to cancel any home improvement contract you sign with the contractor of record. This right is disclosed in writing in every contract.
