Questions we hear
Real questions, real answers.
How much does a pergola cost in Sacramento?+
Custom wood pergolas typically run $5,000 to $15,000. Larger structures or motorized louvered systems run $15,000 to $30,000+.
Do I need a permit?+
Most attached pergolas and any structure over 120 sq ft require a permit. Free-standing under 120 sq ft often does not. We confirm with your city and handle permitting.
Wood or aluminum?+
Wood (redwood, IPE, cedar) looks warmer and more custom but requires re-staining every 3-5 years. Aluminum is lower maintenance and supports motorized louvered roofs but is more expensive upfront.
